Wyoming Premier Unsigned Prospects Ready for WyoHoops Showcase

Wyoming Premier Hoops will bring a strong group of unsigned basketball prospects to the WyoHoops Summer Showcase on June 27–28 at the WYO Sports Ranch in Casper, Wyoming. The event will give college coaches, scouts, and basketball fans an opportunity to evaluate a talented group of Wyoming athletes who are still looking for the right opportunity at the next level.

This Wyoming Premier Hoops group features guards, wings, forwards, and interior size from Riverton High School and Worland High School. The roster includes Eric Smith Jr., Garrett Jackson, Gage Treber, Michael Williams, and 6’6 forward Malachi Smith. Each player brings a different skill set, but together they represent what Wyoming Premier Hoops is built on: toughness, development, competitive basketball, and giving Wyoming athletes a platform to be seen.

Eric Smith Jr. — Riverton High School

Eric Smith Jr. is a two-way point guard from Riverton High School who brings leadership, pace, ball-handling, and defensive pressure to the floor. Smith has shown the ability to run a team, create offense, and impact the game on both ends.

Public stats list Smith as one of Riverton’s top producers, averaging 11.5 points, 2.7 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. Those numbers show his ability to score, distribute, and defend at a high level. As a lead guard, Smith plays with confidence, pushes tempo, and can pressure opposing ball handlers full court.

For college programs looking for a guard who competes, defends, and can control the game, Smith is a player worth watching closely. His ability to be both a scorer and facilitator gives him value in multiple systems.

Garrett Jackson — Riverton High School

Garrett Jackson is a productive wing from Riverton High School who brings size, shooting, rebounding, and efficiency. Jackson has been one of Riverton’s most reliable players, and his ability to impact the game without needing the ball in his hands every possession makes him a strong recruiting prospect.

Jackson is publicly listed as shooting 47% from the field while averaging 6.6 rebounds per game. He also finished among Riverton’s top scorers with 241 total points and has shown the ability to stretch the floor, including being listed among team leaders in three-point percentage.

His combination of rebounding and perimeter skill makes him valuable as a wing who can defend, crash the glass, and score within the flow of the offense. Jackson is the type of player who can help a college program with toughness, versatility, and team-first production.

Gage Treber — Riverton High School

Gage Treber is a 6’3 forward from Riverton High School who brings strength, athletic ability, rebounding, and physicality. Treber is also listed as a multi-sport athlete, which shows in the way he competes on the basketball court.

Public stats list Treber at 9.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game. He was also listed among Wyoming leaders in free throws made, showing his ability to attack, draw contact, and convert at the line.

Treber gives Wyoming Premier Hoops a strong, physical forward who can defend multiple spots, rebound in traffic, and finish through contact. For coaches looking for a tough, competitive player who does the work that helps teams win, Treber deserves attention.

Michael Williams — Worland High School

Michael Williams from Worland High School is a 6’4 shooting guard/small forward with size, scoring ability, and guard skill. Williams brings a strong frame, perimeter ability, and the versatility to play on the wing.

Public stats list Williams at 10.0 points, 3.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.0 steal per game, while also shooting 80% from the free throw line. His profile also lists him as a 6’4, 195-pound SG/SF, making him one of the more intriguing wing prospects in the group.

Williams gives coaches a player with size on the perimeter, scoring touch, and the ability to make plays for others. His combination of shooting guard and small forward traits makes him a strong evaluation piece at the WyoHoops Summer Showcase.

Malachi Smith — Riverton High School

Malachi Smith is a 6’6 forward from Riverton High School who brings size, length, rebounding, rim protection, and versatility. Smith has already earned recognition as a 4A All-Conference player and has been one of the most productive interior players in Wyoming.

Public stats list Smith with 322 total points, 9.0 rebounds per game, 2.4 blocks per game, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 steals. He has also been recognized among state and division leaders in shot blocking, showing his ability to change the game defensively.

Smith’s length and defensive presence make him a major factor around the basket, but his game is not limited to the paint. He has shown the ability to pass, defend, rebound, and play with a team-first approach. For college programs needing size, versatility, and interior toughness, Smith is a serious unsigned prospect to track.

The WyoHoops Summer Showcase gives these players a major opportunity to compete against strong competition and show college coaches what Wyoming basketball has to offer. For Wyoming Premier Hoops, this event is about more than just games. It is about exposure, development, and helping unsigned athletes continue their basketball journey.
