Lady Wolfpack Moves Up Its Launch and Will Begin Building in 2026
Wyoming Premier Hoops is proud to announce that the Lady Wolfpack girls basketball program will officially begin building in 2026.
The original plan was to wait until next year to launch the girls side of the program. However, after seeing the growing need for more competitive opportunities for female basketball players across Wyoming, the decision was made to move the timeline forward.
The Lady Wolfpack will begin forming now.
This is an important step in the continued growth of Wyoming Premier Hoops and its mission to create meaningful opportunities for athletes throughout the state. The addition of the Lady Wolfpack gives Wyoming girls another option to develop their games, face strong competition, gain exposure, and represent their communities beyond the high school season.
Built for Wyoming Girls
Wyoming has talented girls basketball players in communities of every size. Many of those athletes are looking for additional opportunities to compete, improve, and challenge themselves during the offseason.
The Lady Wolfpack is being created to help meet that need.
The program will welcome players who are serious about improving, willing to compete, and ready to become part of a team-first environment. The goal is to bring together athletes from different schools and communities and give them an opportunity to represent Wyoming on a larger stage.
Players do not need to come from the same school, town, or conference. The Lady Wolfpack is intended to become a statewide program that connects players who share the same desire to work, compete, and grow.
A 17U Girls Travel Basketball Opportunity
The Lady Wolfpack will begin as a 17U girls travel basketball team under the Wyoming Premier Hoops program.
The team will focus on high school-aged players who want to continue developing outside of their school seasons. The program will evaluate interest, positions, graduation years, experience levels, and roster needs as the team begins taking shape.
Submitting the player interest form does not guarantee a roster position. It allows the coaching staff to learn more about each player and communicate future information about evaluations, practices, team needs, schedules, costs, and upcoming opportunities.

Travel basketball can place players in unfamiliar situations. They may face stronger opponents, different defensive systems, faster guards, more physical post players, and teams they have never seen before.

They also help athletes learn how to compete when games are difficult, how to adjust when the original plan is not working, and how to contribute even when they are not scoring.
Every player will be expected to understand that development requires patience, consistency, and a willingness to be coached.
Creating More Exposure for Wyoming Athletes
Wyoming players can sometimes be overlooked because of geography, limited population, and the distance between communities.
The Lady Wolfpack will work to give players another platform to be seen.
That may include tournament competition, full-game film, individual highlights, player profiles, website features, social media coverage, and direct communication with appropriate college programs when players reach the recruiting stage.
However, exposure will never be promised simply because a player joins the team.
Players must earn opportunities through their effort, preparation, performance, attitude, academics, and consistency. The program can provide a platform, but athletes must take responsibility for how they use it.
A Statewide Invitation
The Lady Wolfpack is open to interested players from throughout Wyoming.
The program encourages athletes and families from Riverton, Lander, Casper, Rock Springs, Green River, Cody, Worland, Thermopolis, Laramie, Cheyenne, Gillette, Sheridan, Jackson, Powell, Douglas, Rawlins, and other Wyoming communities to submit their information.
Distance and travel will be considered as the program evaluates practice options and scheduling. Wyoming Premier Hoops understands the challenges families face when players live several hours apart.
The goal is to communicate clearly and build the schedule as responsibly as possible while still creating a competitive experience.
