Wyoming Premier Hoops Awards: Recognizing The Pack
Wyoming Premier Hoops wrapped up another competitive tournament showing with players from both 19U Select and 16U Gold stepping up, competing hard, and representing the program the right way.
These awards are about more than points. They recognize production, leadership, defense, toughness, effort, growth, and the standard we expect every time our players put on the uniform.
Tournament MVP
For 19U Select, the Tournament MVP goes to Malachi Smith. Malachi made a major impact with his scoring, size, rebounding, and overall presence. He gave the team a steady force and showed why he is one of the top leaders in the program.
For 16U Gold, the Tournament MVP goes to Andre Friday. Andre brought strong energy, production, and confidence throughout the tournament. His ability to impact the game on both ends made him one of the biggest standouts for the 16U group.
Offensive Player of the Tournament
The 19U Offensive Player of the Tournament goes to Gage Treber. Gage was aggressive, confident, and reliable as a scoring threat. He gave the offense a major boost and continued to prove he can produce in big moments.
The 16U Offensive Player of the Tournament goes to Andre Friday. Andre’s offensive impact stood out all tournament. He attacked, finished, and helped set the tone for 16U Gold.
Defensive Awards
Defense is a major part of the Pack identity, and several players earned recognition for their work on that end.
For 19U Select, Josiah Hernandez earns Defensive Player of the Tournament. Josiah brought pressure, toughness, and consistency defensively. He competed every possession and gave the team a strong defensive presence.
Branden Monroe earns Co-Defensive MVP for 19U Select. Branden’s effort, discipline, and willingness to do the hard defensive work made a major difference.
For 16U Gold, Asher Kintzler earns Defensive Player of the Tournament. Asher showed toughness, awareness, and leadership on the defensive side of the floor.
Carmelo Smith earns Co-Defensive MVP for 16U Gold. Carmelo competed hard, stayed active, and gave his team important defensive energy.

The 19U Breakout Player is Mikey Williams. Mikey stepped up and showed growth, confidence, and the ability to make an impact when his number was called.
The 16U Breakout Player is RJ Brauburger. RJ continues to grow and prove himself. His tournament performance showed progress, toughness, and a bright future within the program.
Dawg of the Tournament
The 19U Dawg of the Tournament goes to Quentin Hutcheson. Quentin brought toughness, competitiveness, and the kind of edge every team needs.
For 16U Gold, the Dawg of the Tournament honors go to Colten Pantle and Brekken Maxson. Both players showed grit, effort, and a willingness to compete through every possession.
Hustle Award
The 19U Hustle Award goes to Josiah Hernandez. Josiah’s motor, effort, and defensive energy stood out all tournament.
The 16U Hustle Award goes to David Mena. David brought energy, competed hard, and made effort plays that helped his team.
Best Shooter
For 19U Select, the Best Shooter Award goes to Malachi Smith and Mikey Williams. Both players showed shot-making ability and gave the team valuable scoring from the perimeter and beyond.
For 16U Gold, the Best Shooter Award goes to David Mena. David showed confidence and touch as a shooter and gave 16U Gold another offensive weapon.
Floor General
The 19U Floor General Award goes to Eric Smith Jr. Eric helped lead, organize, and control the pace for 19U Select. His leadership and ability to run the team were key parts of the tournament.
The 16U Floor General Award goes to Asher Kintzler. Asher helped lead the younger group with confidence, communication, and poise.
The Pack Standard Award
The Pack Standard Award is about representing the program the right way. It honors players who bring effort, attitude, toughness, and commitment to the team.
For 19U Select, the award goes to Branden Monroe and Garrett Jackson.
For 16U Gold, the award goes to Brekken Maxson and Colten Pantle.
These players showed the kind of character and effort Wyoming Premier Hoops wants to build around.
Final Word
This tournament showed the growth of the program from top to bottom. The 19U Select group brought leadership, experience, and toughness. The 16U Gold group showed development, energy, and a strong future.
Every award winner earned recognition, but the bigger win is the continued growth of the Pack.
